SBER™ Marathon:

The Santa Barbara Endurance Run™ Marathon offers athletes of all calibers an exceptionally rewarding and challenging endurance experience. Following the mandatory pre-race briefing at SB Jr. High School, SBER™ Marathon athletes will be shuttled to the Start at Romero Trail. The 26.25-mile route utilizes many of Santa Barbara’s enduring trails like San Ysidro, Romero, North Romero, Blue Canyon, Cold Springs, Rattle Snake, Franklin and Divide Peak OHV. Loaded with challenging climbs and epic meandering descents, the route offers dramatic views of Montecito, Santa Barbara, Channel Islands and Dick Smith Wilderness. The final 3.5 miles’ portion of the run cuts through Mission Canyon, continues past the historic Mission Santa Barbara and the Rose Garden with a final sprint through the lower Riviera to SB Jr. High School Athletics's Field.

Entry Fee Includes: Entry for one athlete, shuttle ride to start, chip timing, online results, SBER™ athlete bib, pre-run fueling station, 4 well provisioned & staffed aid stations, post run snacks and beverages, SBER™ Marathons finisher award

Foundation for Santa Barbara High School

Founded in 2008, the Foundation for Santa Barbara High School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to providing resources the school needs to offer an outstanding educational experience to all students

Qualification

    • SBER™ Marathon minimum age requirement is 18 years of age. Exceptions will be considered
    • Endorsed the Athlete Waiver & Indemnification Agreement
    • Completed $20.00 (minimum) charity contribution to the Santa Barbara High School Foundation
    • Conditioned to run 26.25 miles of challenging mountain trails and roads

Mandatory

        • Photo ID at check-in (driver’s license, passport etc.) is required at time of athlete check-in.
        • Each athlete is required to maintain on their possession a minimum of two 18 fl. oz. hand helds or an equivalent proportion fluid bladder.

  • 7:00am SBER Start (Montecito) (100k,Marathon, & Heavy Half Marathon)
  • 1:30pm Marathon & Heavy Half  Awards / 1st – 3rd Male & 1st – 3rd Female
  • 9:00pm 100k Awards / 1st – 3rd Male & 1st – 3rd Female

There are 5 well-stocked and staffed aid stations provisioned with, cots, chairs, canopies, porta potties and HAM communications; 9 locations for athlete Drop Bags; 3 accessible locations for athlete’s crew support
